Developing Strategy, Focus, and Critical Thinking
Our Chess program introduces students to the art and strategy of chess in a fun, age-appropriate way. From learning how the pieces move to mastering advanced tactics, students strengthen critical thinking, patience, and problem-solving skills. Each lesson combines hands-on play with strategy discussions, encouraging teamwork, resilience, and focus. Chess supports Social Emotional Learning (SEL) by teaching students how to win with humility, lose with grace, and think ahead with confidence. The program concludes with a friendly chess showcase where students demonstrate their progress in matches or mini-tournaments.
